There is something to be said about growing up in small-town Oklahoma, where everybody knows everybody, and everyone lends a helping hand. Growing up in rural Oklahoma, those are exactly the values that John earned in his little hometown, with a cattle rancher for a father and a schoolteacher for a mother. Early on he learned what it meant to work the land, jumping on horseback and going with his dad to work cattle not long after he was old enough to walk. He still remembers those cool fall mornings walking the creek bottoms looking for squirrels with his dad, and the cold November days waiting for that nice whitetail to come through. "There's just something about being in nature, the things you experience, that gives you such a different perspective of the world. It's something you cant find in the city."
Growing up in rural Oklahoma shaped John's life, it's what laid the groundwork for who John is. Straight out of high school, John joined the military serving 14 years in the Air Force. "I wasn't sure where I was going when I joined, I just knew I needed to serve, and thank the Lord I did. I've met the best people, made the greatest friends, travelled all over the world, but most of all it's where I met my wife who has given us two beautiful kids."
John has carried those small town principles with him since leaving home, and it's why so many people appreciate the sincerity and diligence in the work he does. His passion is the outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing, camping, or just spending time with the family. "Nothing soothes the soul more than just getting out in nature. I still remember the days of walking out the back door down to the pond or the neighbor's creek to catch a fish or jump in for a nice refreshing swim. Being able to get out and meet people, to help them find that perfect property that meets their needs brings me a tremendous amount of joy and satisfaction. It makes me feel good about continuing to help pass on those Oklahoma traditions." John has been all over the world in his days serving, seeing some of the most beautiful places and experiencing some of the most amazing cultures, but as they say, "home is where the heart is", and that's why you'll find John with his boots planted in Oklahoma. He is a proud Veteran who loves small town Oklahoma. He looks forward to helping you with your real estate needs and making the process as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. Give him a shout, he's someone you can truly trust in.
